USFMEP Global Ambassador trip to Egypt; Peace and Development through Sports

Mrs. Sally Kader, President of US Federation for Middle East Peace announced the Global Ambassadors Visit to Egypt, with a gift to the Egyptian Youth of 11,000 Soccer balls. Currently, half of Egypt’s population is under the age of 25. Bringing engagement through sports to promote peace and stability to the society’s youth population is crucial to the future of Egypt. The trip, which lasted from 12th of May till the 18th, embodied the United Nation’s commitment to international peace, security, justice and Human Rights including Youth leadership through educational programs, public relations and community outreach initiatives such as Sports events throughout the world.

The USFMEP/UFPD took a part in the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on April 6th, and while at the United Nations announced the partnership with Mr. Jack Brewer, who was subsequently named the Ambassador for sport and peace.
Mrs. Sally Kader and H.E. Jack Brewer expressed their excitement towards future projects that include introducing various athletes and celebrities to Egypt. “These projects allow these well-known figures to experience the culture and to assist in promoting Peace and Sport in an area where some of the world’s biggest conflicts take place,” said H.E. Ambassador Jack Brewer. “We aim to use our Global Ambassadors program to present athletes, artists and entertainers with tangible opportunities to be active participants in cultural diversity, peace and social change around the globe.”
