New York, NY – Friday, April 4th, 2014 – US Federation for Middle East Peace/ United Federation of Peace and Development (USFMEP/UFPD) are pleased to announce their partnership with The Jack Brewer Foundation (JBF Worldwide) in supporting the mission of Peace through Sport in the Middle East and worldwide.
Since the inception of the US Federation for Middle East Peace, Sally (Salwa) Kader’s mission is to bring the role of youth to the top of the agenda to promote peace and development. The countless initiatives and programs she has pioneered directly affected the empowerment of youth to build a safe and secure world in which to live. The merging of sport and peace together is providing the youth with empowering skills, such as negotiation, peace/conflict resolution, and peacekeeping. Sally Kader’s work is paving the path for an empowered youth and equipping them with skills on how to be the peacemakers of tomorrow.
This platform in partnership with The Jack Brewer Foundation is laying the groundwork for educating and developing the minds of the new peacemakers and negotiators of the world. Sally Kader’s years of dedication and her passionate mission to drive the participation of youth to the universal world of sports and peace, she states, “Sports bring people together, and knows no color, no gender and no religion”.
To launch the partnership with The Jack Brewer Foundation, there will be a press conference held to recognize the United Nations’ International Day of Sport for Development and Peace on Friday, April 4th, 2014. The Press Conference will announce and celebrate the new partnership with The Jack Brewer Foundation and the United States Federation for Middle East Peace.
It is extremely important that we target pre and post conflict zones with sports programs. This helps to break the vicious circle of hopelessness, unemployment and dramatization. To proactively aid and promote peace, USFMEP takes pride in mobilizing endorsers including celebrities, artists, academics and others into various international initiatives and works with numerous partnering organizations in an effort to provide them with further knowledge and expertise as it pertains to global advocacy and cultural diversity.
Note: Drinks and Middle Eastern Hors d’oeuvre will be served
