Check the flyer To follow up on the implementation of Security Council resolution 1325 on women, peace and security, which was adopted in October 31, 2000, the Inter-Agency Network on Women and gender equality established  ” the Standing Committee on Women Peace and Security” in response to the ever-increasing demands to improve the policy and programming, coordination and monitoring around the implementation, and building also on the recommendations of civil society on women’s contribution in decision- making on war and in ensuring the implementation of the four Geneva Conventions that call for the protection of women, and to ensure their needs in time of war and peace, and to give them additional special protection according to their specific needs.
